See you in 18 Months The sun does shine

After experiencing a not so positive experience with her trainer companion.  The trainers time to serve came to a close and she left.  Jill was hoping she could breathe now.  Not be told what to do, how to eat, how to shop, and the list goes on------She has a new companion.  She still is in Fargo North Dakota but ---------

The Day my Life Changed

Today my life changed for the better! I am still in Fargo but I got a new companion Sister Naillon she was brought into my life to build up my self-esteem. She is training me and helping me understand the gospel I know that by the end of this I will be a better person a stronger person and a better missionary. She has blessed my life in many ways and she only has been in it for two days. I was angry at first because my trainer trained her to but she struggled as well. I judged her before I knew her I told her straight up what I thought. We threw those feelings out super fast. She is a wonderful missionary and I am truly blessed to have her in my life.
She was sent to me to teach me how to work and get investigators. I have been out almost two months and feel like I have wasted it not because of what I have done but because of what I haven't done to find the people here. I have touched the lives of many thanks to my mom she is a smart lady she always told me "Jill we don't go to church for the people we go because we love Jesus" you know what she is right and if the people can't see that then they aren't opening up their eyes. I have struggled with church since I was little ask my mom. I am now on a mission in Rapid City South Dakota. I maybe in states but this is totally different then I could of ever imagined.

My heart turned around as I got my new companion. I knew I belonged here I am here for a reason. I felt peace when she came into my life. Yes I was sad to see Sister Johnson one of my companions leave but I was so thankful for Sister Naillon. She said Sister transfers are the hard but get over yourself. She was right it may of took me a few minutes but I am stronger than ever. I can trust her and she is truly my best friend. I doubted the Lord when he sent her to me but I know the reason. She is here to fix me and boost me back up.

I remember looking at this girl like what can you teach me, our first day together I knew what she needed to teach me. She listens to me she helps me understand what I don't know. She is a fun, spunky, sweet, beautiful girl! She is just like me so just imagine two Jill's and you have it right. We rap together we laugh but most importantly we are honest and opened with each other. This Sister is truly changing not only me but my life for the better.

This mission is not what I thought it would be by any means but I know through prayer, faith and love everything will be okay. I haven't been this happy in a long time. I am finally going to start loving my mission for what it is. I am done with being angry and miserable I only had 5 more weeks until I could quit. My mom told me to give it 12 weeks but I am ready to give the lord 18 months. I finally belong someone finally cares about me and loves me for my craziness. I have found a best friend who I will be friends with even when we get transferred. I know that after this 6 weeks I will be able to train and not afraid.

I know some companions will be hard but I know that no matter what I will always have Sister Naillon and my family. I am never forgotten even when I feel like I am. I will always be me and that is all that really matters. Because at the end of the day if I am happy I know everything will be okay!
Sometimes life is rough but I can promise you as you continue to keep the faith it will get better. I never really believed that until I came on a mission. I was ready for anything so I thought but I was wrong. I wasn't ready to be torn apart and have to be built up again but I wouldn't change it for anything in the world! This is my life and this is my adventure bring what may because no matter what I am JILL ANNE DALLON and that's all the really matters.

My prayers, my families and friends prayers have been answered. I am truly blessed to be a on a mission and to better myself and become the person I want/need to be!

I am off to another adventure until next time Peace out Cub Scout! Peace and love forever!

Smile forever and always,

Sister Dallon

Sister Dallon is on her way.

Life in the Mission Field First 6 weeks

Mom, Jill said to me nobody said I would be stalked at the computer by my own companion.  She critiques what I email and tells me just exactly what to say, tells me how stupid I am and all the packages I am receiving are not mission approved.  I really want to come home.   This is what we were were told in the handwritten letters.  She, Sister Dallon,  was growing and suffering.  It was hard and she felt she had no where to turn.

Here are a few of her letters that she was able to write without being yelled at and etc.

The letters are not dated  they are truly from her heart--------

Hey!
Well this week has be ehh! I wish you could hear what was going on in my head! Actually you probably don't want to its not that good! The Ransom's are really nice. Church was good I made it through two fast sundays at this rate I will be home in a month! :) Only 73 more weeks not that I am counting!
I am one of those people you can't force the gospel down my throat you got to let me learn it at my own pace and if you don't like it sorry. I am working hard. Trying to learn to love people for who they are! I was truly blessed in the MTC with my district and my compagin we may of bumped head alot but at least we knew we cared about each other. I knew I could always count on Sister Johnson and she could count on me. We were a good match but this match right now I don't know how I feel about it. Besides get me the HECK out of here!
The people are really nice! Different but nice! You never told me that I was going to be praying ever time I turned around or took a breath. I feel like we pray in vain a lot because that is all we do. I have come to know how to not get annoyed so easy but it is so hard!
I knew this wouldn't be easy I didn't expect it to be. I just expected  that I would love my compagin and not wish I was back at school with my crazy roommates who wanted to kill me! That sounds so much better than this!
I love the mission! I just don't love her! I will grow to love her I guess! Sometimes you just got to let Jill be Jill and life will be better off that way! I love you all hope all is well! I don't need any mike and ikes for awhile please that is all I have consumed for a week! Yea I'm so awesome!
73 more weeks that is until September 2014 not that I am counting! I love you! Talk to you next week! Peace Out cub scout!
Smile forever and always,
Sister Dallon

Hey Everybody!
I am living the dream here in a blizzard it is 17 degrees and I wish I was in basketball shorts and a t shirt! I am not in Utah anymore they closed schools because of the snow. I shoveled the driveway saturday morning at 6:30 am it was good. I love shoveling snow not going to lie. With a shovel no blower!!
Work here is good we are finally started to get some appointments after 100 phone calls a day for the past week. We are making progress. I love Sister Kalio she is from some island she is another sister in my district but we make it a point to see each other everyday and write love notes. She leaves in two weeks! I wish she didn't!
Oh before I forget I won't be emailing next week because we don't get P-day because we are going to the temple next Saturday. That will be fun that will be the last and only time I get to go with sister Kalio. She is so great I love her so much!
Teaching lessons so that is good a girl just got home in the ward and she served with Sister Sandstrom my MTC teacher how awesome is that! Only 4 more weeks then I get a new companion! Whose excited this girl! I  got a letter from Chelzee I love her so much! She is so great!
Mail takes three weeks to get here. Just so you know! Got a letter from the bishopric so that was interesting!
Fargo is good snowy but good! Sister McCormick is from washington state adn doesn't know how to drive in the snow. It's bad.
I love you all! Keep the faith! Live the dream! Peace out Cub Scout!
Smile forever and always,
Sister Dallon

Hey Peeps!
I am doing well! I love being in a trio because me and Sister Johnson get along great and we both don't like sister mccormick so its great! I am going to be sad next week when Sister Johnson leaves for home but it will be nice.
Random quote for all of you "Nothing you have ever done could make Jesus forget about you" it was on a calendar in Sister Johnson's apartment. Jesus loves everyone I need to be more like him. I have grown to love this place even though it is cold. I love all the letters and mail.
Life is going good! I don't really have anything to say! Peace and love forever!
I love you all! Thank you for the support and love! Thanks for keeping the faith.
Sorry just kind of not in the mood! I have kind of been angry a lot this week. I am not good with the unknown business I guess! Well I am on the lord's time so I guess I just shouldn't worry about it!
Smile forever and always,
Sister Jill Anne Dallon

Hey Family!
I am in Fargo in a trio thank goodness! I ripped my compagin a new one best day ever! She is so stupid! First she yells at me because I eat processed food what on earth does that mean! Then my packages aren't missionary approved. Mainly because she didn't get one! I hate her lets be honest! One thing I have learned tho is that I am not going to treat people like garbage. I am not stupid!
We went over on miles. Walked to church 2.2 miles it was great but she was so mad. I told her to shove it.I really think she needs to take responsiblity and not blame everything on me.
Today we were driving home and saw a lady on the street corner. No joke I said sista we are going to teach her a lesson and we did. I walked up to her and we prayed and got her on date to be baptized for May 13. It was really cool and sister mccormick was mad but me and sister johnson went and we even knelt and prayed we are going to teach her again on thursday. That was really awesome goal for the week 23 lesson and with a little faith anything is possible but she thinks we can't do it but I am going to show her.
Only 16 more days then she is gone!
My favorite sister went home yesterday it was a rough day but I love her forever and will never forget all she did for me!
The temple was good. I thought this church was true because in the temple they do the same thing but not here. I was a little confused actually I am still a little confused.
You never told me that god lives in the celestial kingdom and not in the others! Anyways work is good slowly progressing Elder Empey the district leader made me laugh so hard today I about peed my pants just because he makes cinnamon rolls!
That's all I got sorry! I love you all thanks for the support! Keep the faith!
Peace and love forever!
Smile forever and always,
Sister Dallon

Don't forget to write your Missionary.  They need you letters through the mail and email.

SEE YOU IN 18 MONTHS

As you all know Jill received her mission call to Rapid City, South Dakota Mission.  She entered the Missionary Training Center, what we all know as the M.T. C., on February 20, 2013.  We only had 42 total days to get it all together for her to be ready to go and serve the Lord.  We did it!

We discovered that it was hard to find clothes that were modest as they say.  Jill has always been conscience of that but she was discovering that it was harder than she thought----conservative and modest.  We did it and felt quite successful!
On February 20th, 2013 was a hard day. We, as a family, thought it would be easier for us to say good-bye to Jill that it was to say it to Josh (Jill's brother) at the M. T. C..  I guess we thought that because she had been away to school and Josh had served a mission---we were wrong  it was just as hard.  But we made it.
The funny part of that day is that when we were dropping her off as a family, the greeting missionaries thought that it was Kevin and I leaving to go on a mission.  We were Senior Missionaries.
Jill has asked me her mother to post some of her letters and an occasional picture from her mission.  It will be straight from Jill.  Letters will be cut and pasted--honesty will be apparent, raw feelings, and testimony struggles will be shared as well.  The only thing we as as you read her blog is that you don't judge---and pray for the missionaries of the world, pray for Sister Jill Dallon as she serves and write her letters to show her support.
The letters at first will be in order as best as can be as the author, Jill's mom, was just asked to post them.
I am very proud of my daughter and as a family we are proud of our daughter that she chose to serve a mission to serve our Heavenly Father.  She will grow, she will change and the adventures that are in front of her are endless.
So here goes:  See you in 18 months, Love Sister Jill Dallon
